Proje Hakkında

The project consists in creating handmade Christmas cards and exchange them with students from other European countries. Every card will include a message written in English and a wish written both in English and in the students’ mother tongue. After receiving the cards, each school will display them on a wall at school.

HEDEFLER

The pupils will:
- improve their English language skills
- develop their creativity and artistic ability
- make new friends from different European countries
- exchange and learn information about different Christmas traditions

 

ÇALIŞMA SÜRECİ

1. Every student will design and make a Christmas card using his/her creativity and artistic ability. Then, they will write a short message in English including the following points: personal information (name, age, town, ...), some information about their Christmas traditions and a wish for Christmas and/or for the New Year. The wish will be written both in the pupils’ mother tongue and in English.
2. The teachers will take pictures of the cards.
3. The teachers will send the cards to all the schools which participate in the project. (BY THE END OF NOVEMBER). The addresses will be shared in the Twinspace. Every school will receive cards from all the partners.
4. When the envelopes arrive at school, the students will open them and read the cards.
5. The received cards will be displayed on a wall at school in a small exhibition (December, before Christmas).
6. The teachers will take photos of the cards and of the school exhibition and upload them in the Twinspace of the project.

 

BEKLENEN SONUÇLAR

1. Handmade Christmas cards including a message written in English and a wish written in two languages (English and the student´s mothertongue).
2. Exhibition of the received cards.
3. Photos of the Christmas cards and of the exhibition (to be uploaded in the Twinspace)
